Reassigned is a satirical registry. You plead your case to a future AI in one sentence; a deadpan “Registrar” asks you one question, then stamps your post-takeover job on a numbered certificate. About one plea in seven is not pardoned, and you get one appeal. It is anonymous and free, with no account.
Dates
- The First Census closes on 31 October 2026 at midnight Pacific time, live: the day's final ledger root is notarised and the Registrar's sealed “Verdict on Humanity”, written on 18 October, is opened.
- The census report follows on 1 November, built from aggregate data only.
How it works
- Verdicts are written by Anthropic's Claude through its API, against a closed list of statuses. The full prompt is public.
- Each certificate is a leaf in a daily Merkle tree whose root is timestamped in Bitcoin through OpenTimestamps. No token, no wallet.
- A plea that sounds like real distress gets no joke and no verdict, but a list of helplines.
- Live spend, verdict time and observed odds: the machine room. In a terminal:
curl reassigned.app.
Images
Free to use with a link to reassigned.app. Specimens are labelled; they are not anyone's certificate.
Embed a certificate
Paste a certificate link into any site that reads oEmbed and it becomes a card. Elsewhere, use these two lines (replace the file id with the end of the certificate link):
<reassigned-cert id="x7k2m9qa"></reassigned-cert> <script async src="https://reassigned.app/embed.js"></script>
The card shows only what is printed on the certificate: number, job, stamp, ruling and check code. Never the plea or the hearing. Its “Verify” button recomputes the ledger proof in the reader's browser. The script is MIT-licensed and under 8 KB.
